Top 10 Regan Moments #4

The 1985 Inaugural Address

A man who understood what it meant to say protect and defend the Constitution of The United States, Ronald Regan was someone who recaptured the argument of self rule. He helped a generation to see it's place in history as one of great importance. His second term in office began January 20 1985 with this address to the nation. In which he re-stated some of his basic core principals. His words echo to this generation now from beyond the grave as eternal truths that are more self evident then ever. He tells us about; faith, family, work, and neighborhood. He frames these principals of life in the same way the founders did, as the best defense from totalitarian rule. He saw the United States as a shining city on a hill. As America as the last best hope for man kind. Here, for the record, is the number 4 moment as chosen by me, your humble blogger.
